Human Computer Interaction Portfolio

Hi! My name is Art van Steenbergen and I'm studying Communication and Multimedia Design at The Hague University. This portfolio was created to showcase my contribution to the Human Computer Interaction (HCI) course I followed at the end of my second year. This portfolio consists of four main categories which are: Topics, Workshops, an Excursion and the Lab Weeks. Each category has one or more pages with assignments, research, reflections and/or journals. Everything put together should give a detailed inside in my abilities to think "outside the box", a box consisting of basic input and output devices.

Disclaimer: This course does not take in account what users want or need. But was held to educate us about what's possible in the near to distant future in terms of HCI.

Course expectations

I expect to learn a lot about the interaction between humans and computers. It's an exiting time to become a UX developer. The adoption of new technology is rapidly accelerating. Self-driving cars are tested around the world, some with eye-tracking and LIDAR others completely relying on computer vision and radar. I'm very exited to learn more about the 'Nitty-Gritty' that these technologies have to offer. I'm especially looking forward to learn more about computer vision.
