After the lecturer finished his presentation about wearables, he pointed out that the assignments where uploaded to Blackboard. After reading the instructions a chose the topic "Smart tattoos as a new way of communicating" over "New ways of social interaction".
As a new way for humans to interact with computers and each other I'm foreseeing some sort of way to create, alter and delete tattoos on our body’s. I read something on the internet the other day about computational organs. The biggest organ a human has is its skin. Therefor it would maybe be possible to alter your skin color with such computational skin with CRISPR. So, it would also be possible to alter your skin color by touching it. With such alterations you could express yourself everyday with unlimited variations.
I managed to find the article I discussed above. It was on Labroots.com. At the first time reading it I was very interested in the applications and I still am. Let's hope the research develops further.

I found it interesting to take part in this abstract and sci-fi part of HCI. It's important to think about what you want to do even if it's not yet possible. Technology doesn't improve itself but needs brilliant minds push the boundaries further. That was for me the main take away of this part of the course.
